Kevin Thornhill’s photographs tell a story or capture a moment, which will evoke emotion and can transport the viewer to the location or event.

Kevin Thornhill colour treats images before conversion and investigates methods on how to add authenticity to his digital black and whites.

Kevin Thornhill deliberately composes certain shots for black and white conversion; He will use shadow/contrast, to add an air of intrigue or may add some vignette to concentrate the viewer’s attention.

Kevin Thornhill likes the eye to traverse the scene and he will arrange his shoots to accomplish this. He loves to see people gasp and hear them reminisce as they view his work.

His recent Parisian shoot has pleasantly reminded people of their time spent in Paris! His work has garnered comments like “only in Paris”.

He was lucky enough to get one of his images published from the Manila series of his work, in the UK based Lonely Planet magazine.
